Dear Senator Inhofe

Dear Senator Inhofe, I hear you like sea turtles. Olivia, my stuffed sea turtle, just bicycled across all of Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Aquarium has a nice leatherback sea turtle.

But all sea turtles are struggling to survive when faced with huge volumes of plastic waste entering our oceans as well as climate change.

Look at some of the plastic waste that Olivia and I found along Oklahoma trails and roads:

This picnic area had a huge amount of trash at it.

And here is a small dump along a roadside.

Much of it washes into creeks and rivers and then our oceans like this "Smart" disposable water bottle. It does not seem very smart to use disposable plastic for a few seconds and then have it pollute our environment for a thousand+ years.

What are you doing to stop plastic pollution and climate change so we can have a healthy, clean, and safe world for sea turtles as well as our own kids and grand kids?

For more about Olivia's and my bike ride, please see ZeroW.org. Thanks!
